Meet the winners and finalists of the Oaky Awards 2024

The Oaky Awards returned in 2024 with a bang. Not only did we receive a record number of submissions in the Most Creative Upselling deal category, but we also added another new category to celebrate Oaky champions making a significant contribution to upsell success at their hotels.
At Oaky, we love serving the hotel industry. The Oaky Awards is our way to showcase how hotels are using unique ways to create memories and elevate the guest experience while driving ancillary revenue.
Our goal is to recognise both creativity and performance, both of which are crucial to being successful in the hospitality industry. This year, we celebrate the winners and finalists in the following four exciting categories:
Most Creative Upselling — recognising the most inventive and out-of-the-box deals sold via Oaky.
Best Performer — recognising hotels boasting the highest revenue per room result.
Best Front Desk Upseller — spotlighting hotels that demonstrated exceptional revenue growth through Oaky's Front Desk Upsell automation.
Upselling Ambassador — awarding Oaky’s champions who demonstrate exceptional dedication in implementing upselling strategies using Oaky's software.
Without further ado, the news you’ve been waiting for — here’s the list of the winners and top finalists in each category.
Most Creative Upselling
For this coveted prize, Oaky users had to submit applications featuring deal descriptions along with the images they used to present these deals to their guests via Oaky.
Bali Niksoma Boutique Beach Resort’s deal left a lasting impression, not only on the Oaky Committee but their guests too (and in the literal sense of the phrase). Their deal, “Hotel Tattoo Service”, which invites guests to get a memorable tattoo by a professional tattoo artist in the comfort of their room, was crowned the winner.
The other hotels that have made the shortlist were:
Anantara Golden Triangle, with the “Royal Enfield Sidecar Experience”, an exhilarating ride of the Royal Enfield Classic 500 sidecar with a private driver.
Royal Cliff Beach Hotel, with the “Water Gun & Mobile Cover” deal dedicated to the Thai New Year Festival “Songkran”.
Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort, with the “2-hour for the Love of Dragon Fruit Planting Tour”, inviting guests to plant dragon fruit trees at a local eco farm.
Pullman Dresden Newa, with the “Your Personal Butler: Meet Sir James” deal that offers guests the opportunity to have a robotic butler bring a selection of snacks and drinks directly to their room.
Best Performer
Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur was a previous winner in the Most Creative Upselling category. This time around, it was the Shangri-La The Shard, London that represented the hotel group in a different category and was proudly crowned as the Best Oaky Performer, boasting the highest revenue per room result.

Best Front Desk Upseller
This category specifically zooms in on hotels that use Oaky’s Front Desk Upsell automation solution. Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Reylof generated significant revenue growth using this Oaky module, landing them the first prize.

Upselling Ambassador
For our new category, there was no first prize. Instead, we used this as an opportunity to praise five Oaky champions for their dedication and innovation shown in implementing upselling strategies using our software. In no particular order, we present to you your five Upselling Ambassadors:
